I am a Gilmer County native. My connection to this area goes back eight generations to the early 1800s, when my ancestors moved from North Carolina to what is now Cherry Log, GA. I hold an M.A. from Georgia Southern University and love to spend my free time with my family on our modern day homestead or hiking parts of the Benton MacKaye Trail.
The beautiful mountains are just a small portion of what makes this area unique. The North Georgia area is a rich tapestry of Appalachian history, captivating folklore, and magnificent scenery and I am thrilled to be able to help others discover and plant their own roots in this amazing area of the U.S.A.
