Blue Ridge is a railroad town where you can step back and relax as you and your family enjoy a four-hour railway excursion along the beautiful Toccoa River from Blue Ridge to McCaysville. The rail adventure is a two hour 26 miles round trip, with a two hour layover in McCaysville. During your two-hour layover, have lunch and take a walk across the "Blue Line" on the street and you're in Tennessee!

From January 1 to March 17, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway was taking an off season for maintenance. March 18 will be the kickoff day of their Spring Season! Throughout the year, there will be seasonal trains such as the Easter Eggspress on March 26, Blue Ridge Trout Train on April 29, and many more! The train runs from March through December, on weekends until June then daily through July, except for Wednesdays.

The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway was recently designated one of the top five attractions for experiencing fall color by "Southern Living" magazine.
